Fast Animals

My name is Sonya. I'm usually found in open or partially open savannas. I've a small head with eyes set high in my face I also have a black streak mark that goes from the corners of my eyes down to my mouth. People train me for hunting. I am so popular that Akbar the great of India was said to have kept a stable of about 1,000 and many civilizations have me in their art and in written records. Cheetahs like me are 2 feet and 6 inches tall. I weigh 110 to 140 pounds I live about 10 to 20 years. I'm on a diet which consists small antelopes. My predators are eagles, humans, hyenas and lions. I don't roar but I purr, whine and growl. I hunt during the day. I am a mother of two and spend a long time teaching my cubs how to hunt. I bring antelope back to my cubs so they learn how to chase. I am a solitary animal.
