Teaching

At SUNY Cortland I teach courses related to social and personality psychology (as basic research and applied fields), I teach the social-personality-clinical portion of our team-taught Introductory to Psychology classes, and a few courses related to quantitative methodology (experimental research methods, advanced research methods, and psychological testing). Each year I teach a laboratory course, The Psychology of Human Emotion (PSY 410) and we have a great time in that class collecting and analyzing psychophysiological data. It is always good for a bad hair day!

Each semester I work with a group of energetic and helpful teaching assistants. These TAs teach laboratory sections, present technology workshops for students needing help formatting Microsoft Word for APA style papers, they teach Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS. They are also available through office hours to assist with studying for exams and writing papers or presentations. Please refer to your syllabus for teaching assistant office hours. If you are interested in becoming a teaching assistant, please contact me initially by email to apply.
