Learning the basics

Objective #2: To provide a basic understanding of these technologies and of the fundamentals of their use

So far, so good. By completing the lessons for "Getting acquainted with the tools," you have gained a working vocabulary in educational technologies and a basic understanding of the purposes of these applications. Now it's time to try some of them out so you can get a feel for how they really work. "Learning the basics" is divided into separate activities for each technological application. Some activities are quite simple and require very little effort. Others will prove to be a bit more complicated and will take more time to complete, but in the end you will be quite conversant on these topics. You might even take over the title of "FL Department techie" if you are not careful. ;-)

Be sure to follow the instructions for each activity carefully. Remember, computers are very unforgiving in terms of typos.
