Requirements
-
Create a web site project that has at least 4 pages. The site will be
designed to teach something language/culture related.
-
The pedagogical objectives (SWBAT) of the project must be explicitly stated,
include
both culture and language components, and be supported by the project's
content. What specific skill will the student be capable of performing after completing the assignment? IOW We are looking for specific learning outcomes, not vague and general goals. Review the lesson on designing goals & objectives.
- The entry page to your project 2 site will be named index.html. It will reside in its own folder and link to & from your first table of contents page.
- All file names (web pages, images, sounds) will be short, correctly formed, correctly located, containing no spaces or other disreputable characters ;-)
-
There must be multiple ways of moving through the pages in your site.
-
The project must include at least one edited image (clip art or photo & tell me what you did).
-
The project must include at least one edited
sound (or video) file (& tell me what you did).
- The project must include at least one Form Field for meaningful interaction advancing the project goals.
-
The project should make appropriate pedagogical use of the target language. (IOW appropriate language for the student level)
-
The project should make appropriate use of stylistic elements: Fonts,
Color,
Size, Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity. Format should include at least one table, and its size must be set as a percentage, not as an absolute number of pixels. (Review the lesson on Style.)
You will give an very brief in-class presentation of your
project. Projects will be placed online and you will turn in the
URL. You will need to
turn in a page (hard copy) with the title of the project, a description
of what you are trying to teach with the project and what your specific
goals are, and a flowchart that demonstrates
the various ways of moving through the pages in the site. Label the
flowchart
with the names of the web pages in your site. Also note in your flowchart the locations of required elements (e.g. edited sound). Please be sure to
include your name, the course number, and the correct address.
