Mary K. Gfeller
Assistant Professor, Mathematics Department School of Liberal Arts
Welcome to my website!
This is my first year at SUNY Cortland and I am very happy to
joint the Mathematics Department.
Before coming to SUNY Cortland, I taught at Hammond Central
School from 1986 to 1991. At Hammond Central, I taught Math 8
along with several of the high school mathematics courses. I
also enjoyed coaching Girls Varsity Soccer for several years.
I also taught at SUNY Canton in the Mathematics Department from
1991-1997 and 2000-2007. Technology is a huge part of the
college so I gained immense knowledge about working in the
classroom with technology.
In 2005 and 2006, I facilitated a Summer Institute for
elementary math teachers in St. Lawrence County through a NYS
Partnership Grant (check out the great technology resources on
the Math Partnership link).
If you are on campus and are interested in learning more about
mathematics education, please feel free to stop in.
