Tips for Calculator:

• Put name on it
• Read instructions thoroughly - see links below to download manuals if necessary
• Practice using it!
• Recheck your work - does the answer seem reasonable
• Don't be too overconfident

Other things to keep in mind

• Order of Operations
• Rounding - remember zero's will not show up (4.2 versus 4.20)
• Dealing with negative numbers

• Texas Instruments (general TI download web site to locate manual for any calculator)
• TI83+  - read chapter 12 (on entering data) and 13 (specifically pp 383-384) on finding the other Sx value
• TI-30 IIS (or IIB) - guide book for teachers (refer to pp. 75-80 for statistics instructions)
  
• Casio
• Sharp
