Devin's Company 1st Cavalry New York Militia "Jackson Horse Guard"

Volunteered for three months United States service and left State for Washington, D.C., July 3, 1861. Mustered in at Washington July 14, and Provost duty in the Defenses of that city until October. Participated in skirmishes at Fall's Church, Vienna and Lewinsville, Va. Mustered out at New York City October 23, 1861.



Oneida Independent Company Cavalry

Organized in Oneida, N. Y,, and mustered in September 4, 1861. Moved to Washington, D.C., September, 1861. Attached to Stoneman's Cavalry Command, Army of the Potomac, to April, 1862. At Headquarters, Army of the Potomac, as escort until June, 1865. History Army of the Potomac. Mustered out June 13, 1865, and honorably discharged from service.

Sauer's Company "C" Hussars 3rd Cavalry New York Militia
