On March 19, 2001, I received an email from Lonnie Walls, who is a great-great-grandson of Horace Crocker. He quoted the following obituary from the Oswayo Valley Mail, [Pennsylvania?], August 25, 1918[sic]:

Horace Crocker, one of the the old and respected residents of the Horse Run Valley, died at farm home Tuesday night at 8:30 after an illness of a weeks duration. His death was the result of old age. During the past year or two his mind had been affected and had been a great care to his wife. Horace Crocker was born in Cohocton NY, April 3, 1828 and was the last of his family. On 3 June 1859, he married Diana Keller of Genesee NY who survives. He was a farmer and a veteran of the Civil War and a pensioner. They had resided on the farm at Horse Run for about 44 years. The funeral was held Friday.
