How to log
into the testing program – Myitlab.
This program now works on PCs and Macs
You may test from any computer on campus that displays the MyItLab icon on the desktop – DO NOT LOG IN FROM THE CLASS SITE
You may download the testing program to your own PC or Mac.
**** remember to allow popups (may need to unblock at several different levels of security) – you will need to do this each time you use a computer to test.
*** be sure to read all instruction on the screen – especially those in red.
*** run the set up wizard – box at the top right of the login page to the system. You may do this any time, not necessary for the setup. However, you must do this before taking your first test.
To log in, select the icon from the class web site, or go directly to www.myitlab.com
Select First time user, student (after this initial login you will select the second option – Login, Student)
Read the license agreement – scroll down and click the “I accept” button.
When asked if you have an account click the "no" button.
Create a login – recommend you use your e-mail address
Enter your access code, a string of six blocks of about 4-6 letters. Be sure you get this number from the MyItLab folder in your packet of books. The folder is sealed and you need to break the tab, inside there is another pull tab with the access code under it.
Enter school zip – 13045
Select country –
Click next
Enter first/last name and e-mail address
Select school name (SUNY at Cortland) from the drop down menu of options
Create a password – make sure it is “unique” if it is not you will receive feedback when you try to switch screens that your password is not secure enough.
(remember it should be at least 8 characters with one of them being a number).
Select the security question you want to use if you forget your password – enter the appropriate answer
Click next
At the Confirmation and Summary site you can select the “Log in now” button
You will now see two large boxes on the screen. In the blue bar at the top of the left hand box you will see a yellow “enroll in a course” box, click on it.
Enter the course ID - this will be given to you in class
Click submit
Click – enter course now
Now there is a CAP 100 - psych option
From the blue bar at the top of the screen, just under the Myitlab banner, click on the “course content” button
You will now see all the tests that are assigned. They will be in order by due date
Remember that as soon as you click on a test, it is "live" and your grade will be recorded - DO NOT CLICK ON A TEST UNTIL YOU ARE REALLY READY TO TAKE IT.
