This week in class, we'll explore Internet resources that can help students learn about economics... starting at a very early age.

We'll visit the following sites and discuss the resources found on each:

Look Who's Footing the Bill - WebQuest

Making Scents of Money - ThinkQuests

http://www.ustreas.gov/offices/management/curator/virtual/ - U.S. Department of the Treasury virtual tour

http://www.usmint.gov/mint_tours/index.cfm - U.S. Mint virtual tours

http://www.usmint.gov/kids/index.cfm?fileContents=coinNews/nationalCoinWeek.cfm - National Coin Week (this week!)

http://www.usmint.gov/kids/flashIndex.cfm - H.I.P. (History in your pocket) Pocket Change (kids site for the U.S. Mint)

http://www.kidsbank.com/ - Kidsbank.com (commercial site offered by a bank)

http://eft.merit.edu/efk.html - Economics for kids

http://eft.merit.edu/quiz1.html  - Economics for kids quiz (take one)

In class, I'll also begin a discussion about ways that technology can assist students with learning disabilities.... something that has certainly helped our students succeed in school settings.
