Things you SHOULD always do
1. Alwasy save the new page first BEFORE you make any link or insert any image.
2. Always remember to REFRESH the page to see the updated results

Things that you SHOULD NOT do
1. Everything related to the website should be in the SAME folder, yes, EVERYTHING!
BTW, what does "in the same folder" mean? You got to figure this out clearly and absolutely first!
When you insert an image or a link, if it looks like this, i.e. only the file name (bluewolf.gif) is there, the image or link should work (if, and only if, you upload both the html page AND the image or the page it links to)
If it looks like this, that means the image beholder.gif and the html page where you insert the link are NOT in the same folder. And the image or link will NOT work properly after you publish.
If it looks like this, that means the image you insert or a the file you link to are NOT in the same folder. And the image or link will NOT work properly after you publish them.
