The duties of the Wingate Committee include: raising money to donate to the Suzanne Wingate Memorial Scholarship Fund, finding individuals or businesses to be a sponsor or make a donation to the tournament, recruit people to play in the tournament, and run the actual game day operations of the tournament.

To accomplish goals for the Wingate Tournament, committee members must actively seek for potential sponsors or participants. This includes calling, emailing, and visiting businesses or individuals in the area. Once this is done the focus is shifted to game day operations of the tournament with the help of the facility staff where it is held at.
