Chauncy was among the hundreds of my students
i didn’t remember every student’s last name,
but seeing “Mustangs” in the news
my heart sank
i went to the course projects he made last fall

i saw him fix the link to his Mustang photo in his web page
remembered the glimpse of smile on his face…
I also knew that he was close to his brother Tom (the one on the right side of the picture)

in a college class
Chauncy is the invisible type
so quiet, shy, humble
Yet you can tell he is a beautiful soul…
