Before your next class:
Think about how you might use Threaded Discussion, Blogs, Wikis or online Journals.
1. Look ahead to Clip-Art. Practice making your own clip-art using Adobe Photoshop,
Elements or whatever image editor equivalent you are using at home. Keep in
your plans for your project #2 and also your midterm
The latter will require the inclusion of original clip-art (It doesn't have to be pretty; we just want to be sure you have tried your hand at making an image that is not a protograph)! What
kinds of graphics do you think will be useful for the pages you might
in the future? You might want to look at How to make clip art or Beginner Tips for Web Designers for making interesting web graphics.
2. Optional: Once you have become proficient at making your own
try saving some of them as transparent GIFs or PNGs, using the directions on
1. Try your hand at sound editing using Audacity,
Acoustica or any program you wish. Record
an original sound and also take a recording from another source and
with the steps on the sound editing page.
Especially Capture, Center wave, Normalization, Export as mp3 (You will need to download Lame).
2. Keep in mind your upcoming projects, and when you are
with the editing job you have done on the sounds you have chosen, be
to save them for future inclusion in your projects.
