Guidelines for
Final Submission and Final Presentation
of Your
ePortfolio

Overview

At the end of the semester your electronic portfolio will be evaluated in terms of the quality and quantity of the components you have incorporated into your portfolio. The evaluation is based on the following three major pieces:

1. The individual course projects you have finished and published throughout the whole semester.

2. The final submission of your ePortfolio should meet all the requirements. Revisit the basic requirements posted on Week 4 and reposted on Week 14.

Due: Fridayday of the final presentation week, December 15th, 2005.

3) The final presentation

Presentation time: Monday December 12th, 2005

Final Presentation Pointers

Each person will have about 5 to 10 minutes to present (exact presentation time limit and order will be published soon). Your can present your ePortfolio in any innovative way you can think of. But make sure your presentation include all of the following elements.

1. Give an overview of your whole ePortfolio project.

2. Have one or two anchoring points, that is, focus on one or two projects or parts of a project that you are proud of. Share with the class both the content and the technical accomplishments.

3. Share with the class two or three pieces of reflections taken from your Reflections on the Learning Process of EDU 314 Project. Share both your pride and your frustration:

3.1 Share with the class some of the exciting experiences - things you tried hard to accomplish but finally figured them out.

3.2 Share with the class the one most frustrating experiences in doing the ePortfolio.

4. Present your ePortfolio in a lively and vividly manner.

Final thoughts: Accept Frustration, Take Pride

Learning to do something like designing and publishing webpages is often a rollercoaster of frustration and elation. Hopefully through the course you have developed an understanding that some frustration is inevitable, but you can use it to "build character", that is, strengthen your resolve to succeed. And when you do succeed, be proud and share your joy in your success with others. You deserve the credit and you'll be encouraging them to do the same.
