Harris Light Cavalry. Enlisted Sept 1863 for 3 years or
the war – was taken prisoner at Deep Gully, Newbern N.
Carolina. Was a prisoner of war – from Sept 1864 to
March 1865 – Parrolled in the field Wilmington, N.C. was
confined in a stockade at Florence S. Carolina – weighed
90 lbs with a Government overcoat on – was over 2 years
