Course Reflections

1. Please reflect on your learning experience in this course. Please write down the things you would recommend the instructor to KEEP if she gets a chance to teach the same course again.

I feel the teacher provided a great classroom experience. It was challenging, interesting, and effective. I would suggest that she continue to have the class split up into groups and discuss issues, or keep the students doing different activities throughout the class period. This helps keep the students interested and focused. I also feel she should continue to show the movies and use the articles she handed out this past semester; they were relevant and effective. I honestly feel she should keep everything she did last semester.

2. Please write down the things you would suggest the instructor IMPROVE .

I would suggest that the teacher introduce the final unit plan a bit earlier in the semester. This way, students could start researching earlier. Perhaps she could have the unit lessons due at earlier dates and then compiled at the end of the semester to hand in as the final unit plan. This would help ensure students would complete the lessons ahead of time, instead of doing the unit plan last minute. The guidelines, early submission of one lesson, and self-check list from last semester was helpful, but actually having all of the lessons due at earlier dates may help those students who tend to procrastinate, (to get their work done ahead of time).

3. Any other comments and thoughts to share with the instructor?

Keep up your positive attitude. It is so nice to have an energetic, encouraging teacher. Thank you for teaching us this semester.
