Model Description – Description of the prescriptive ID theory.

Specification of Theory
(a) Goals and preconditions - Outcomes: The various effects of the methodology of the ID theory.
(b) Principles - Instructional relationships or values that are important within the ID theory.
(c) Condition of learning - Any factor that may influence the effects of the methodology.
(d) Required media - Resource requirements prescribed by the ID theory
(e) Role of facilitator - Responsibility of the teacher. In some cases, the teacher may be some sort of mechanical teaching device (i.e. textbooks, audiovisual materials, computer-based technology.
(f) Instructional strategies – Specific instructional activities
(g) Assessment method - The assessments used within the theory to measure student learning. Also, this is a referent to what learning would look like at as a result of the ID theory.
