Collaborative Research with Klein, E. & Hee-Young Kim.
SUNY Cortland. Pre-service Elementary Teachers’ Use of Online Learning Environments in Teaching Experiences. Started in October 2005. Proposals submitted to conferences. Seeking opportunities to fund larger scale studies on teacher education and online learning environments.

Modeling Effective Educational Technology (MEET) Grant,
California Community College system. November 2004∽ Current

MEET – Modeling Effective Educational Technology – is an initiative from CCCConfer that provides funding and support to college instructors who are integrating lead-edge innovative e-conferencing technologies into their teaching. I act as a researcher and consultant to identify best teaching practices. My role as this is to support instructors producing re-usable content in order to “pave the road” for other instructors wishing to use e-conferencing technology for instruction. 

Teachers for a New Era Initiative (TNE),
Michigan State University and Carnegie Corporations Teacher for a new Era. August 2004∽ January 2005

The goal of MSU's Teachers for a New Era is to establish a model for preparing high-quality teachers for the myriad demands of the contemporary American classroom. I am assisting the project leader through doing literature review and proposal writing.

Linkage Grant, Collaboration between Michigan State University and Cantho University (Vietnam) on Educational Change and Community Development. Fall 2003∽ Spring 2005

The goal of Linkage Grant is to help Cantho University (Vietnam) School of Education faculty develop closer links with local K-12 schools and their surrounding communities. I am assisting research related to the collaborative teacher training program, including the development of program evaluations and new proposals.

Kids Learning In Computer Klubhouses (KLICK)

KLICK is a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant awarded for groundbreaking ideas and innovative applications in an attempt to eliminate the digital divide for lower income urban and rural middle school students. I assisted the planning, design, implementation and analysis of the large-scale longitudinal evaluation study of the program.

Technology Enhanced Learning through Web (Tele-web)
, Michigan State University, August  2000∽August  2001

Tele-Web is a curricular approach to supporting the literacy performance of emergent readers and writers, including students with mild disabilities. As a research assistant, I practiced ethnographic approaches to research, mastered, supported, and taught the use of Tele-Web.
